Lead like a Woman: Finding Your Authentic Leadership Style

The old style of leadership doesn't work anymore. A global pandemic, remote workplaces, an unprecedented shecession, political divisiveness- all demand a new style of leadership. Why did countries led by women do so well during the COVID-19 crisis? What is it about Jacinda Ardern’s leadership that is just so effective? How can you lead in a way that is true to you, without reinforcing the patriarchy?

As a woman, leading like a man doesn’t do the world any favors. But how do you lead authentically as who you are, with confidence and courage, in a man’s world?

This workshop will go over the new style of leadership desperately needed in this world and championed by women. Then we will dive into the copyrighted Intrinsic Power Map, developed by noted women’s leadership expert and women’s empowerment coach Samantha Karlin of Empower Global. You will take the first steps to understand the unique power that you have as a woman and get clear on the things that make you stand out as a courageous, authentic woman leader.

Speaker Bio:

Samantha Karlin is the CEO of Empower Global, which facilitates trainings on DEI and gender issues for Fortune 500 companies and other organizations.

Empower also runs a groundbreaking intersectional women’s leadership program that trains women to be courageous, inclusive leaders equipped to be champions for social justice in their countries and communities.

Samantha is also a diversity and inclusion facilitator for Equal Reality, which utilizes virtual reality for DEI, and for Korn Ferry.

She speaks all over the world about gender issues, including at Harvard University, Tufts University, IE University, Indian Institute for Management, the Horasis Global Conference, etc., and is a TEDx speaker. She is the host of Samanthropolitics, a talk show about global politics and women’s rights.

Previously, Samantha led global engagement for a Silicon Valley tech company, led Ashoka’s programming with women social entrepreneurs, built coalitions for the Hillary for America campaign, and managed the women’s issues portfolio for the US Embassy in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ms. Karlin holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy with a specialization in global gender analysis and conflict resolution from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.  She is a trained mediator.

She has been published in the Washington Post, Conscious Company Magazine and Women2.0, and is a New America expert.
